If you need to export content from Umbraco there are no Umbraco packages available to do this. However, it is possible to create a copy of all (or a subset) of the content pages.
Note this export doesn't include any history, only the current snapshot of the page data.
You will need Developer access to Umbraco to do this. We only allow Developer access to sites that are customer hosted, if your site is hosted on the Umbraco Shared Hosting Platform, then we cannot grant Developer access as it would compromise the security of the server.
To create a package containing the copy of your content pages. Go to the Developer section, then Packages
Click on Created Packages and click Create Package in the popup menu, then give the Package a name that you'll remember. Click the green Create button.
The empty package will be created, and you will need to provide a URL for your package (use #) and version number (use 1). Enter your name as the Author Name and enter a url (use #).
Enter a description of the contents you're exporting in Readme.
Then click on Package Contents.
On the Package Contents tab, select which content to export by clicking the Choose link. The sitemap will appear in the right side of the page, and you can select exactly which section to export. If you want to include all the pages below the section you have chosen you must also click Include all child nodes.
Finally click back to the Package Properties tab, and click the Publish button. The package will be available to download using the Download link.
The Package will come as a ZIP file the contents of which will be a single XML file containing all the content you exported from the site.
